The Story of Cosmetics examines the pervasive use of toxic chemicals in our everyday personal care products, from lipstick to baby shampoo. It reveals the implications for consumer and worker health and the environment, and outlines ways we can move the industry away from hazardous chemicals and towards safer alternatives. The film concludes with a call for viewers to support legislation aimed at ensuring the safety of cosmetics and personal care products.

good day:) it’s my first time here but i really enjoy what you posts here in your site. Cheers
I am always amazed at how poorly informed we are about the negative effects of chemicals in everyday cosmetics, shampoos etc. It is also quite difficult to find information once you do start to become aware and want to learn more about the chemicals to avoid. The David Suzuki Foundation lists the top 12 chemicals you might want to avoid (with an explanation of the effects of each). There is even a handy shoppers guide which you can download and keep in your wallet!
