Originally, castile soap was an olive oil based soap made in the Castile region of Spain. Today, “castile” refers to any soap that is made from vegetable oil rather than animal fat and synthetic substances. Liquid castile soap is natural, biodegradable, and versatile product with numerous effective applications. I know 12 great uses for castile soap, are there any I missed? Great site! Thanks for all the recipes.

My concern with the baby wash is trying to keep the bubbles from splashing into their eyes . . . Good luck! My son is a splashed for sure.

As for the toothpaste, my sister swears by it and her teeth are always bright white, even with having her daily coffee. She uses castile soap to brush her teeth and doesn’t ever use a whitener. I’ve tried it, but I can’t get past the taste with my gag reflex. :(. I think I’ll try it again though. :)
